Change is Good?

Changes are on the way. I don’t even want to start with school, my kids and I are not ready. Summer vacation was wayyyyyyyy too short. Then there is me. I might do it. I might. Start. Again.

I’ve been threatening for years now, sometimes just to defer my student loans, sometimes because I get this wild hair that I’m going to become a real engineer. But despite the fact that I’ve done this for the last 6 years without a degree, I don’t want it. It’s not me. I think I’m beginning to understand just who I am. It’s not pretty.

I might just go back and get my Masters degree. In… don’t laugh, Political Science. Pumping out a 6 page research paper in just two hours for someone else kind of helped me realize that one should really do what they enjoy if at all possible. How I’ll make any money or even find a job in this field is of little concern. I’m going to win the lottery too.

any change is good, it gets you out of a mental rut at any rate and gives you new insights of where you're at...

yep, and if you can do it for somebody else, you can do it for yourself too... go for it :D

you should go back! I'm all for it. I went back for an advanced degree, (granted, it was pre-kids), and it made all the difference between mediocrity and something more..

Ya i'd go for it, though this comes from a guy who almost wants to go back and get his masters in U.S. Intelligence...hmmm

See I got a lucky set up, since I work for the university here I get free classes (up to like 9 credit hours a semester I think).

But man sitting in class again...*shudder*, but since its not me, go for it! :)

All, I'm thinking I'll do it. I only have a couple weeks to get admitted and all, but I've done this before.

I'll keep you all "posted" on things.

Jeff: Go for it. This from a girl who has just completed a Political Science specialist program, and is heading into the Ph.D. program. I spent quite a while deliberating over whether to go this route, so I sympathize with your situation. I'd say just apply and see what happens...you're not committing yourself you.
