CNN.com - Bush rebuff to Chirac�over Turkey - Jun 29, 2004
This is the only news I can (or am willing) to find of note tonight. I think Chirac makes a reasonable point when comparing Bush's backing of Turkey to the idea of him intervening between Mexico and the US. Then again, if we (the US) don't butt our own heads into someone else's business then we are asked to do so.. Damned if we do... Over simplified I suppose.
On the other hand, France hasn't exactly been "wooing" their significant Muslim population and might be a little concerned about bringing Turkey in just yet.
