Peterson trial

This sort of thing frustrates the crap out of me. Where does it say in the constitution that the prosecution has to blindly prove guilt and the defense blindly prove innocence? To have a detective ignore and blatantly discard evidence that might point to another possible suspect is unacceptable. I think he should be fired to start with. More importantly though is that this just shows how corrupted and misguided the criminal justice system is. Obviously there is no incentive for our law enforcement officials to bring in the criminal, just anyone will do. They already know that they'll probably just end up on the street again soon anyway.

At the court level it has reached the point of absurdity. Defense attorney's show it best, making defense cases that reach far beyond defending the accused's rights. The goal is to successfully exonerate guilty people and then you are considered a good attorney. The prosecution is no less guilty they just benefit from the usual view that they are the good guys. Look at the Central Park jogger case, a confession and DNA evidence to boot. The prosecutors and the cops still say they were right?

The whole system needs a major overhaul.

Fej.
